Managing Custom Data policy groups
You can activate or deactivate the Custom Data policy for policy groups from either the Policies > Policy Groups area or from the Policies > Custom Data area.

In the Policy Groups area, you can activate or deactivate the Custom Data policy for a single policy group.
To enable or disable the Custom Data policy
- Log in to the Secure Endpoint Console as a user with Manage permissions for Custom Data Collection and Policies.
- On the navigation bar, click
Policies > Policy Groups.
- On the Policy Groups sidebar, search for and then click the policy group that you want to activate the Custom Data policy for. The policy group's Devices page opens in the work area.

Click Settings.
The Settings page for the policy group opens showing the activation status of its policies. A grayed-out Inactive icon, such as
, indicates that a policy is not activated.

Do one of the following:

To activate the Custom Data policy, click the activation slider next to Custom Data to set it to On. On the Activate Policy confirmation message click Activate.
If you have not yet configured the Data Points to be collected, you need to add Data Points by configuring the Custom Data policy.

To deactivate the Custom Data policy, click the activation slider next to Custom Data to set it to Off. On the Deactivate Policy confirmation message click Deactivate.

Click Close to close the confirmation message.
The Custom Data policy changes its activation status.

In the Custom Data area, you can configure which policy groups you want to add or remove from the Custom Data policy.
To add or remove policy groups:
- Log in to the Secure Endpoint Console as a user with Manage permissions for Custom Data Collection and Policies.
- On the navigation bar, click
Policies > Custom Data.
- In the Policy Groups section, click Configure.

Do one or more of the following:

To activate the Custom Data policy for a policy group, click the activation slider to set it to Enabled.

To deactivate the Custom Data policy for a policy group, click the activation slider to set it to Disabled.

A notification shows indicating that the policy groups have been updated. The most recently collected information is still available in reports for all enabled data points.
